Meet your coach

Experience is useful.
Personal attention makes it yours.

I’m Jordan Hoelscher. I bring 25+ years in fitness, coaching since 2008 and a lasting curiosity about how people can feel and perform better.

The story

It began with a pair of dumbbells.

I started training and studying fitness at 13, on a farm in Southern Alberta, with a pair of 10-pound York dumbbells my mother bought me and bodybuilding magazines as my starting point.

More than 25 years later, the equipment has changed. The curiosity has stayed. I’ve explored bodybuilding for muscle, powerlifting for strength, calisthenics for control, strength and conditioning for work capacity, and yoga for mobility and breath. Each offers something useful. No single approach fits every person.

I’ve been a competitive bodybuilder and have coached bodybuilding competitors. Since 2008, I’ve worked with more than 500 clients — and learned that the best plan is the one that respects the person who has to live it.

Today, that experience goes into a smaller, more personal practice for men and women 40+. We connect training and nutrition with recovery, lifestyle and relevant health data, rather than treating each as a separate problem.

The obsession

Always learning. Always asking why.

The questions started at 13. I haven’t stopped asking them.

I’ve spent decades reading, training, recording observations and gathering anecdotal experience from my own practice and the people I coach. That experience matters, but an observation is not the same as proof. I weigh it alongside the research, its limits and your individual circumstances.

My job is to make that information useful: a clear plan, an explanation you can understand and adjustments based on what we actually observe.

The standards

The attention your health deserves.

Education with clear boundaries.

I’m not a doctor. I don’t diagnose, prescribe or provide medical treatment. We work alongside your licensed healthcare professional and respect the decisions that belong to them.

Fewer clients. More of me.

I keep the roster small so your questions, progress and circumstances get my attention. You work directly with me throughout the relationship.

6–12+ months, rather than a few weeks.

With a six- or twelve-month commitment and the option to continue, we give the work time. The aim is a routine you can understand and sustain, with personal support through the changes that real life brings.
